Dutch For Kids
For kids, it can be quite challenging transitioning into a Dutch school when they don’t speak the language. If you want a good start in The Netherlands for your child or children, you can already provide them with a head start in learning some of the basics of the Dutch language before they start school here. This way, their transition both in school and in their new lives can be significantly improved and go smoother.

If your child has already started studies at the ITK (Internationale Taal Klas) or ISK (Internationale Schakel Klas) which help kids learn Dutch before entering regular education and they’re in need of additional language study and support, then I can provide extra lessons so they feel more comfortable in the classroom or outside playing and hanging out with other (Dutch) kids.
I also work regularly with children and teenagers who attend local international schools.
If your child attends a bilingual education (TTO), know that the level of Dutch should be at least A2 or preferably B1 and my classes and lessons support them in achieving and reaching this level of Dutch comprehension, speaking, and writing.
Because I believe that learning should be fun, I use different tools like games and other cool and exciting learning materials. I take into account your child’s interests and incorporate them into our lessons.

I can also combine my teaching with elements of coaching should your child need additional support in their transition to their new life and surrounding. For example, should we discover during our lessons that your child has a fear of failure which inhibits the learning process, oftentimes coaching can help alleviate this significantly.

Aside from pure language lessons in the Dutch language, I also assist students in other subjects being taught in Dutch such as mathematics, biology, history, and other subjects.

I’m often in contact with your child's school in order to streamline their education process. Therefore, should you like to schedule a meeting with your child’s teacher, I’m open to and encourage you to do so.
